I wrote about recent Public Charge rule in the latest post. This rule requires to add new form and evidence to EB1A petition and thus I decided to update EB1A DIY kit as well. This brief post describes what was changed in this new version.
Even though the main change is related to Adjustment of Status application (I-485) there were also other things which needed an update.
I-140 Updates
Let’s start with I-140 petition:
- filing fee for premium processing was increased to $1,440
- check availability of premium processing – it was temporarily suspended during COVID-19 pandemic and effective June 1, 2020, USCIS will accept Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service for all eligible Form I-140 petitions
- I-907 form updated to the most current version
- I-140 form updated to the most current version
I-485 Updates
More significant updates were done in I-485 petition:
- changes in the list of documents mentioned in I-485 petition letter – form G-325A removed, added form I-944 and supporting evidence, work statement
- I-485 form updated to the most current version
- G-325A form removed since USCIS no longer requires this
- new form I-944
- new evidence IRS Tax return transcript
- new evidence checking account statement
- new evidence credit report
- new evidence 1095C
- new evidence health coverage confirmation for the current year
- new evidence health plan description
- new evidence work statement
- I-131 form updated
- I-765 form updated

I am glad to see this web when I search information about Eb1a. I am very interested in the kit. Just wonder if I bought the kit, how many cases and recommender letters I could see? What about other benefits? Just afraid if many people bought and they wrote in the similar manner, and then the officer happened to see that, does that strange?

Hi Lili,
thank you for your interest! DIY kit includes one complete real case with all the documents submitted to USCIS (6 recommendation letters). Except all these documents, you get the templates and brief guide with lawyer’s notes and links to official resources. Please check details here what is included. Regarding your question – every case is different, you are not submitting the same thing. Yes, requirements are the same but you have different past track of achievements. Please let me know if you have any questions.
